Scarlet Hawthorn
A fantastic Hawthorn. Crataegus pedicellata has long dark thorns and the familiar white hawthorn flowers in May, followed by deep red berries that hold on the tree for a long time or until the birds get them all. The leaves turn lovely shades of pink and red in Autumn and as you would expect from any Hawthorn it tolerates poor soils. Makes a great hedge.
